Resumo(s)
This article deals on Xavi Bou’s photographic series “Ornitographies”, in which the author updates the nineteenth-century technique of chronophotography, invented by Marey, to poetically capture the flight of birds during a short time. Through a graphic visualization of a bird’s trajectory in the air, this technique allows Bou to generate a new abstract image of great plastic beauty, that exceeds the limits of our perception. Thus, he takes this procedure beyond its scientific origin and transfers it efficiently to the field of fine arts
