Abstract(s)
as atividades escolares formais.
This dissertation was carried out within the scope of the master's degree in education, in the area of Educational Administration, at the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon. The objectives of this study include identifying the main contexts of non-formal education in a school cluster and how they are managed; understanding the role of the Director and the tasks and functions of the intermediate managers; analyzing how the articulation between the educational project and the clubs is carried out; and describing the relationship of the clubs with formal school activities. The research is characterized by being qualitative and interpretative, focusing on the study of the Science Club in School of a school cluster located in the Greater Lisbon area. The data collection techniques used were semi-structured interviews with the actors involved in the management of the club, non-participant observation of the sessions and documentary analysis of the educational project and action plan of the selected school cluster. The data analysis technique used was content analysis. The data collected in the case study shows that: the different actors are occupied with a variety of tasks, verifying that the action of all is important and has an influence on learning; that all actors recognize the importance and characteristics of the contexts of non-formal education; that there is a strong connection between the educational project and the clubs; that the connection between the clubs and formal education is still very weak.
