This study presents and analyzes the toilette objects used in ancient Egypt, usually found in funerary contexts, which exist in Egyptian collections in Portugal, public and private. These are various artifacts related to beauty treatments and hygiene, made of schist, greywacke, travertine, faiaence, wood, ivory, glass, and other materials. As many of the objects studied here were used for the beautification and protection of the body, various types of oils, perfumes and ointments are also presented, as well as the orna-mental elements that served to embellish and strengthen the makeup, like wigs, combs and mirrors, comparing them with the similar objects existing in Egyptological collec-tions of other countries.
