Gestão escolar em agrupamentos de escolas : as perceções de dois diretores sobre a política de reordenamento da rede escolar

Este trabalho realiza-se no Instituto Educação da Universidade de Lisboa, e tem como
objetivo compreender as perceções dos diretores sobre a medida política de constituição
dos agrupamentos de escolas em Portugal, no quadro dos processos de Reordenamento
da Rede Escolar ocorridos em 1998. Os conceitos teóricos mobilizados para o
embasamento desta pesquisa foram: Regulação e Gestão Educacional. Quanto ao ponto
de vista metodológico, esta é uma pesquisa qualitativa e exploratória, tendo sido
utilizadas como técnicas de recolha de dados a pesquisa documental e duas entrevistas
semiestruturadas a dois diretores de Agrupamentos de Escolas em Lisboa. A análise dos
dados foi orientada no sentido de descrever as representações dos diretores sobre:
organização dos Agrupamentos de Escolas; processo de implantação; medida política de
constituição dos agrupamentos de escola e mudanças sentidas ou percecionadas no
desempenho do cargo. Os resultados evidenciam que, na perspetiva dos diretores, houve
uma redução do abandono escolar e aumento do aproveitamento da aprendizagem dos
alunos como consequência do processo de reordenamento da rede escolar. Contudo, os
resultados também mostram como os diretores percecionam uma maior complexidade das
tarefas e das suas responsabilidades.
This work was accomplished at the Educational Institute of the University of Lisboa and has the objective to understand the director’s insights regarding the political measures of the constitution for the grouping together of the schools in Portugal, process done within the framework of the school network organization in 1998. The theoretical concepts mobilized at the embarrassment of this research were: Regulation and Educational Management. Regarding the viewpoint methodological, this is exploratory research which involved an interview of two directors involved in the grouping of eight of the schools, with the analysis of four categories represented about: organization of the Grouping of the Schools; process of implementation; policy measures of the constitution of grouping the school and changes felt or perceived with the performance of the position. The principal result, the opinion of the managers points to improvement in the reduction of school abandonment and increase in students learning ability. However, the results also pointed to a greater complexity of tasks and responsibilities for the directors.
