Abstract(s)
A investigação acerca dos modelos de ocupação das populações antigas durante o período que compreende, grosso modo, o Mesolítico e o Neolítico tem ganho novos contornos com a identificação de aglomerados de estruturas em negativo, cuja função no espaço ainda não está totalmente clarificada. Fossas, fornos ou silos? Esta questão, destacada recentemente (Diniz, 2013), merece agora uma nova reflexão após a identificação do sítio Barranco Horta do Almada 1, em Beja, ter fornecido um manancial de informação de excepção para o conhecimento destes contextos, no Sul de Portugal, que aqui se apresenta.
The investigation of the occupation patterns of the ancient populations during the period that comprehends the Mesolithic and the Neolithic has gained new contours with the appearance of clusters of negative structures, whose function in the space is not yet fully clarified. Fosas, ovens or silos? This question, recently highlighted (Diniz, 2013), deserves a new reflection after the identification of the Barranco Horta do Almada 1 site in Beja, have provided a source of information of exception for the knowledge of these contexts in the South of Portugal that here are Presents.
