sintomatologia musculosquelética para os estudantes de enfermagem e a sua prevalência;
início do curso.
Higher education institutions are considered as organizations where they work, where they learn and where socialization processes take place. These are spaces for integral formation of opportunities for a culture of positive health behaviors. Undergraduate nursing students, since the beginning of their course, assume responsibility functions, both academic and related to their future profession. In addition to acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to the performance of their future profession, they may at some point develop health problems associated with musculoskeletal symptoms, due to exposure to risk factors inherent to the profession due to the theoretical and practical nature of this course. Realizing the multifactorial aspects of this problem, five studies were performed, which focus on the knowledge of this problem, for the adoption of preventive interventions, measures and strategies: two) review studies on the identification of the concept of musculoskeletal symptoms for nursing students and its prevalence; two) quantitative studies that characterize nursing students, assess quality of life, psychosocial factors associated with musculoskeletal symptoms and the impact of the project on the affectivity and well-being of nursing students; a) qualitative study that confirms the contributions of the implementation of the pedagogical project, through the students' perceptions of the acquired competences and relevance of the topics covered. The results reveal that there is the need for intervention right from the beginning of the course. The various studies show that the knowledge of the risk and protection factors can be the strategy to establish a way to health education, through learning skills and strategies with a multidisciplinary intervention, in order to deal with this problem, which may have repercussions in their future professional life and, consequently, in their well being and quality of life
