In this research we study the interaction of the textile in the founding myths, narrative training and facilitation introspective and its plasticity as a vehicle of power and culture. The study of various specifications of textile art, its territorial, sociological and ideological geographies reveals the universality of the textile phenomenon and its various aspects. As the domesticity textiles, textile art as a therapeutic or social demand, allows the understanding of psychodynamic textile in the individual and in societies. The interrelationships of contemporary textile art and new technologies shows the importance of a laboratory and artistic space of the current research which crosses dynamics of all areas of knowledge, equating creatively ancient legacy with the most innovative knowledge and technologies. By analyzing the artists works, it is concluded that contemporary textile art is in a privileged position to an articulation to sustainability – contemporary textile art and sustainability – converging in very recent sense of the concept of sustainability art (and culture in general) for a change in attitudes and mentality, tending to more fair, balanced and eco-sustainable societies at all levels.
