Este Projeto Final de Mestrado, no âmbito do curso de Mestrado Integrado em Arquitetura, Especialização em Arquitetura, tem como objetivo apresentar um projeto arquitetónico, integrando a escala urbana alargada com a escala do território, contribuindo para a requalificação do concelho de Monchique, na sequência do incêndio que deflagrou no local, em agosto de 2018.Nesse sentido, apresentam-se soluções que passam pelo estudo e proposta do projeto arquitetónico de um objeto de arquitetura - o Museu do Fogo - com uma metodologia projetual assente nos conceitos da Nova Museologia, incorporado na temática de Parque Natural, onde pode ser considerado um conjunto de outros equipamentos, do tipo modular multifuncional, a torre de vigia, observatório e abrigo na paisagem.No final, procede-se à avaliação da proposta desenvolvida, e à sua opção como consequência das causas subjacentes e, à conclusão do estudo comparativo entre o peso relativo que este equipamento pode vir a ter no concelho de Monchique face à sua não realização.O projeto é pensado e desenvolvido nas suas diversas valências, para alcançar a melhoria no bem-estar social das pessoas, enaltecendo a espiritualidade do lugar, com a recuperação e requalificação da paisagem.
This Final Master Project, within the scope of the Integrated Master Course in Architecture, Specialization in Architecture, aims to present an architectural project, integrating the extended urban scale with the scale of the territory, contributing to the requalification of the municipality of Monchique, following of the fire that broke out in August 2018.In this sense, solutions are presented that go through the study and proposal of the architectural design of an equipment - the Fire Museum - with a design methodology based on the concepts of the New Museology, incorporated in the theme of Natural Park, where it can be considered a set of other equipment, of the multifunctional modular type, such as the watchtower, observatory and shelter in the landscape.In the end, we proceed to the evaluation of the developed proposal, and its option as a consequence of the underlying causes, and to the conclusion of the comparative study between the relative weight that this equipment may have in the municipality of Monchique in face of its non-realization.The project is designed and developed in its various valences, to achieve improvement in people’s social well-being, enhancing the spirituality of the place, with the recovery and requalification of the landscape.
