evidentes inúmeras crises, quer a nível micro-, quer a nível macro-sistémico. No presente
The Covid-19 pandemic situation is a current contextual factor, common to all countries and, regardless of cultural specificities, constitutes an enormous adversity, generating strong individual, family, community and societal stress, with numerous crises already evident at both micro- and macro-systemic levels. In this study, we aimed to (1) Understand changes arising from the Covid-19 pandemic situation in terms of coparenting; (2) Understand the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic situation on parenting stress; (3) Identify resources and coping strategies of parents in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic situation; (4) Understand how parents perceive and experience the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic situation on their children. Therefore, through an exploratory study, based on a qualitative methodological approach, interviews were conducted with 15 couples with children aged between 10 and 12 years old. The results reveal the main stress factors arising from the pandemic situation, its impact on family, parental and individual levels, and the family adaptive processes, particularly highlighting the constructive parental strategies to cope with such a sudden and unexpectedly unbalancing situation and enhance the maintenance of a positive relational climate and the psychological adjustment of their children.
