Resumo(s)
A motivação para a realização deste estudo emergiu do meu contexto profissional,
nomeadamente como Coordenadora do Programa Eco-Escolas, um programa de referência no
âmbito da Educação para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável (EDS).
A partir da minha vivência profissional, da observação e interação com os meus pares
e da revisão da literatura, apercebi-me que havia uma discrepância entre o desempenho dos
agentes educativos na promoção da EDS e as recomendações de autores, especialistas e
organizações.
Partindo do pressuposto que a formação é o meio adequado para a abordagem desta
problemática, considerei pertinente realizar um trabalho que contribuísse para o estudo das
necessidades de formação em EDS dos agentes educativos do Concelho de Loures.
A EDS é um dos temas que mais reconhecimento tem tido à escala global como um
fator essencial para um mundo sustentável e para uma educação de qualidade, este estudo vem
de alguma forma responder ao apelo de diversos autores e organizações.
É um tema que me diz muito em termos de desenvolvimento pessoal e profissional, que
considero pertinente para as comunidades educativas e para a comunidade científica quer a
nível nacional quer a nível internacional.
No âmbito deste estudo, foi construído e aplicado um questionário, a uma amostra de
59 agentes educativos do Concelho de Loures, que permite conhecer o grau de interesse dos
mesmos relativamente a objetivos, modalidades e regimes de formação, assim como conhecer
a sua preferência de parceiros em possíveis atividades de formação de EDS.
Ao realizar este trabalho com foco no território do Concelho de Loures, onde
desempenho as minhas funções como agente educativa, pretendo não só enriquecer a minha
formação e o meu percurso pessoal e profissional, e dos meus pares, assim como contribuir
para a evolução e melhoria da educação deste território.
The motivation for this study emerged from my professional context, namely as Coordinator of the Eco-Schools Program, a reference program in the field of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). From my professional experience, observation and interaction with my peers and the literature, I realized that there was a discrepancy between the performance of educational agents in promoting ESD and the recommendations of authors, specialists and organizations. Assuming that training is the appropriate means for addressing this problem, I considered it pertinent to carry out a work that would contribute to the study of the training needs in ESD of educational agents of the Municipality of Loures. ESD is one of the most recognizable topics on a global scale as an essential factor for a sustainable world and quality education, this study somehow responds to the appeal of several authors and organizations. It is a subject that tells me a lot in terms of personal and professional development, which I consider relevant to the educational communities and to the scientific community both nationally and internationally. As part of this study, a questionnaire was constructed and applied to a sample of 59 educational agents from the Municipality of Loures, which allows us to know the degree of interest of them in relation to objectives, modalities and training schemes, as well as to know their preference of partners in possible training activities of ESD. By performing this work focusing on the territory of the Municipality of Loures, where I perform my functions as an educational agent, I intend not only to enrich my training and personal and professional development, but my peers as well, and contribute to the evolution and improvement of education in this territory.
