Atendendo ao facto de que todo o universo religioso do Antigo Egito se encontra refletido na mundividência dos amuletos, torna-se evidente a razão pela qual a análise destes objetos se afigura imperativa e fundamental. Este estudo apresenta os amuletos existentes em coleções egípcias públicas e privadas em Portugal, pequenos objetos ligados ao desejo de uma imperturbável vitalidade, tanto dos vivos como dos mortos.
Given the fact that the entire religious universe of Ancient Egypt is reflected in the world of amulets, it becomes clear why the analysis of these objects is imperative and fundamental. This study presents amulets from public and private Egyptian collections in Portugal, small objects linked to the desire for an undisturbed vitality, both of the living and the dead.
