Através desta tese propus-me refletir e tentar compreender e analisar a minha obra artística, nas suas componentes temáticas e formais, utilizando o conhecimento proporcionado pelas disciplinas componentes dos Estudos de arte, sobretudo a História da arte, a Estética e a Psicologia da forma. Sendo a natureza, a temática predominante das minhas obras plásticas, considerei apropriado estruturar esta tese em torno desta temática. Para tal, procurei definir o conceito de paisagem e procurei apresentar a obra de autores pertencentes à História da arte e à arte contemporânea, que simultaneamente, utilizaram esta temática e me ajudaram a construir e definir a minha pintura. Procurei, também, analisar a minha linguagem plástica, nas suas diferentes componentes, cor, forma, espaço, pincelada, composição.
Through this thesis I propose to reflect upon and try to understand and analyze my artistic work in its formal and thematic components, using the knowledge provided by the art studies disciplines, especially Art History, Aesthetics and Form Psychology. Being Nature the predominant theme of my fine art works, I considered appropriate to structure my thesis around this theme. To this end, I tried to define the concept of landscape and to present the work of authors belonging to art history and contemporary art which used this theme in their art and who helped me build and define my painting. Additionally, I aimed to analyze my plastic language in its different components: color, shape, space, stroke and composition.
