Na prestação deste serviço, o objetivo é reestabelecer, manter e promover a função e condição física ideais, e o bem-estar e qualidade de vida, atingindo-os o mais cedo possível. A avaliação da reabilitação física envolve a avaliação da locomoção, assim como da função em repouso, incluindo a postura, o equilíbrio, a força, a avaliação da massa muscular, mobilidade e estabilidade articular, e da dor. As modalidades mais comumente usadas incluem a crioterapia, a termoterapia, a massagem, a mobilização articular, a laserterapia, a eletroestimulação, a hidroterapia, a terapia com ultrassom, a magnetoterapia, a terapia por ondas de choque extracorporais e os exercícios terapêuticos. A displasia coxofemoral, a luxação da patela e a rotura do ligamento cruzado anterior têm uma prevalência elevada no cão e constituem as afeções ortopédicas mais comuns, podendo beneficiar da reabilitação. A reabilitação foi uma peça-chave no desenvolvimento da melhoria dos casos clínicos aqui apresentados, alguns com uma melhoria mais acentuada do que outros. Permitiu em todos, melhorar a função, melhorar o controlo da dor e proporcionar melhor qualidade de vida aos pacientes.
- Separate Mothering and Fathering: The Plurality of Parenting Within the Framework of Postdivorce Shared Parenting NormsPublication . Marinho, SofiaThis article explores the components and the plurality of everyday parenting among separated mothers and fathers. Drawing on an online survey of 114 mothers and fathers, it presents a topological analysis of mothers’ and fathers’ child-rearing activities and decision-making; unilateral, parallel and negotiated relationships; residence and contact; and legal orders. The findings revealed five mothering and fathering patterns: ‘unilateral’, ‘traditional residential’ and ‘interchangeable’ mothering; and ‘involved non-residential’ and ‘interchangeable’ fathering. They disclose the relational and gendered structures of motherhood and fatherhood practice and social representation that are shaping post-separation parenting within the legal framework of shared parenting.
