O estágio foi realizado no Centro de Formação de Associação de Escolas de Sintra (CFAES), entre os meses de Setembro de 2020 e Maio de 2021, com uma permanência mínima de dezasseis horas semanais. O estágio visou compreender o processo de gestão da oferta formativa no Centro de Formação da Associação de Escolas de Sintra. Para atingir o objetivo de estudo foi adotada abordagem qualitativa recorrendo-se às seguintes técnicas de recolha de dados: pesquisa documental, entrevista semidirecta, à observação participante, e por último, análise de conteúdo. As experiências adquiridas no estágio curricular permitiram conhecer a história e o funcionamento do CFAES, e por outro lado, desenvolver e aprimorar o conhecimento sobre as políticas e as práticas de formação contínua de professores em Portugal e sobre a Organização e a Gestão da Educação e da Formação. Os resultados da investigação permitem perceber que o Centro de Formação da Associação de Escolas de Sintra apresenta estrutura de funcionamento simples de acordo com a tipologia de Mintzberg (1995), tendo em conta a sua pequena dimensão e a sua estrutura orgânica. O seu modo de funcionamento e gestão da oferta formativa é coordenado pelo Diretor do centro e orientado nos valores próprios e na legislação do Regime Jurídico da Formação Contínua de professores em Portugal.This internship report, entitled “The Role of the Training Centers of the Association of Schools in the Continuous Training of Teachers: the Case of CFAESintra”, is part of the curricular internship of the Master's in Education and Training, in the area of specialization in Organization and Management of Education and Training at the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon. The internship took place at the Sintra Association of Schools Training Center (CFAES), between September 2020 and May 2021, with a minimum stay of sixteen hours a week. The internship aimed to understand the management process of the training offer at the Training Center of the Association of Schools of Sintra. To achieve the objective of the study, a qualitative approach was adopted using the following data collection techniques: documentary research, semi-direct interview, participant observation, and finally, content analysis. The experiences acquired in the curricular internship allowed to know the history and functioning of the CFAES, and on the other hand, to develop and improve knowledge about the policies and practices of continuous teacher training in Portugal and about the Organization and Management of Education and Training. The results of the investigation allow us to understand that the Training Center of the Association of Schools of Sintra presents a simple operating structure according to the typology of Mintzberg (1995), taking into account its small size and its organic structure.
