Angola não foi exceção, mas as estruturas ou “pontes” que ligam a sociedade da informação não são visíveis e as pretensões das populações ainda não estão satisfeitas, no que toca ao desenvolvimento socioeconómico e sociocultural. Nota-se, também, um grande desequilíbrio entre as diferentes províncias do país. Partindo da questão «Como promover o acesso democrático à informação na província do Uíge (Angola)?», este trabalho visa compreender a situação das bibliotecas públicas em Angola, observando com detalhe o contexto do Uíge e propondo uma solução em rede para o seu desenvolvimento. Portanto, o foco desta investigação é sustentar um projeto para a implementação de uma rede de Bibliotecas Públicas no Município do Uíge. O projeto é composto por diferentes partes e será devidamente apresentado e discutido. Para além da dimensão científica e técnica, este trabalho pretende ajudar a concretizar uma intervenção social decisiva para o futuro do Uíge.The Network Society and the Information Society are expressions that show the profound social change that has occurred in the last decades at a global level. Starting from the question "How to promote the democratic access to information in the province of Uíge (Angola)?", this work aims to understand the situation of public libraries in Angola, observing in detail the context of Uíge and proposing a network solution for its development. The project is composed of different parts and will be duly presented and discussed.
