The Portuguese sculptural production of the time is characterized by the creation of a three dimensional object thatsomehow expresses the creator’ ideas and emotions. Domingos Soares Branco rejected the conventional techniques in clay or plaster and the subsequent passage into bronze or stone, and started working on copper foil. His innovative development process, allowed him an almost feverish intense activity, producing countless traditional pieces with a strong personal touch.
