Our approach is based on the construction of a discourse based on a territory that is defined by the coexistence of the material and immaterial worlds, a journey that culminates in the analysis of the computer technologies. In an approach that seeks the confrontation between materiality and immateriality, the discourse is developed from two types of discourses: a discourse eminently theoretical of reflection on the implications underlying the problem of the immateriality, and a complementary discourse of explanation of concrete examples designed to illustrate the application of theoretical concepts in the context of design. The passage from objects as prostheses of human action to self-regulatory systems as complex prostheses of human intelligence, define a change in the relationship between users and the technological objects. This is a context that has challenged and continues to challenge the design. Here we explore this challenge in two parts: on one hand in the design of technical objects, on the other hand, the level of a process that goes to coexist with a dematerialized world of operational mediaporKrippendorff, KlausNorman, Donald A., 1935-Design de equipamentoTecnologias da informaçãoImaterialidadeRealidade virtualSistemas computacionaisO design e a imaterialidadeas Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação e a desmaterialização no âmbito do Design de Equipamentomaster thesis
