Portugal conta com mais de 20 mil imigrantes chineses, mas não se encontram muitos estudos sobre esse tema, especialmente sobre a geração 1.5 desse grupo. A presente dissertação procura abordar as características da identidade cultural e da geração 1.5 dos imigrantes chineses em Lisboa e as possíveis causas. Para esse efeito, foi realizado um questionário a 43 participantes, de modo a recolher dados concretos sobre a situação atual da geração 1.5 desses imigrantes. Os resultados apontam que a maioria dos entrevistados assume culturalmente a identidade chinesa, em menor número estão aqueles que assumem culturalmente a identidade portuguesa e alguns deles sofrem de uma crise de identidade cultural. Este trabalho académico visa preencher uma lacuna nos estudos relevantes e contribui para um melhor entendimento da identidade cultural da geração 1.5 dos jovens imigrantes chineses em Portugal.Chinese emigration is a worldwide phenomenon and there are many studies focused on the cultural identity and overseas Chinese emigrants. Portugal has more than 20 thousand Chinese immigrants, but few studies on this subject are available, let alone the 1.5 generation in this group. The present dissertation tries to address the characteristics of cultural identity and the 1.5 generation of Chinese immigrants in Lisbon and the possible causes. To this end, a questionnaire was made to the 43 participants in order to collect concrete data on the current situation of the 1.5 generation of those immigrants. The results indicate that the majority of interviewees culturally assume the Chinese identity, the smallest number of them culturally assume the Portuguese identity and some of them suffer from a crisis of cultural identity.
