In the period after the adhesion to the European Community Firstly we analysed the Global Fluxes by: kind of operation, by sector of activity and by countries/zones of source and destination. The most important conclusion is: the explosion of the incoming capital in Portugal in the post-adhesion period, corresponding to an increase in the outcoming fluxes; the strong external desinvestment verified in 1995, 1996 and 1997 took the country as an net investitor in the foreign countries in 1996; a concentration of the IDE fluxes as "loans and supplyments".
