This non-governmental organization gathers people wishing to use their free time to support terminal patients: ADAMO members accompany these patients to the local hospital for therapies, medical exams and follow-up visits; they also provide in-home care, both medical and psychological, as well as assistance in navigating the bureaucracy, and in the transportation of medications. The association has a kindergarten, providing free baby-sitting in case of a parent’s disease, and a center where meetings and lectures are periodically organized to support patients and relatives. They also provide fund-raising events and the coordination of all patients’ requests.otherbook part
