O sítio acolheu ainda comunidades da Iª Idade do Ferro e, finalmente, revelou um dos mais importantes núcleos habitacionais e funerários de cronologia tardo-romana do Sul de Portugal.Results of the archaeological excavation carried out at the Torre Velha 3 (Serpa, Beja). Older Chalcolithic occupation continued during the Bronze Age, with funerary and living architecture, among which is one of the biggest sets of hypogeum funerary structures found in southern Alentejo to date. The site was also occupied by 1st Iron Age communities and has proved to be one of the most important Late Roman housing and funerary centres in the south of Portugal.Résultats de la fouille archéologique réalisée à la Torre Velha 3 (Serpa, Beja), où la première occupation chalcolithique se déroule pendant l’Âge du Bronze, avec des contextes d’apparence funéraire et habitationnelle, parmi lesquels se détache un des plus grands ensembles de structures funéraires en hypogée trouvés jusqu’à ce jour dans le Bas Alentejo.
