Patricia da Silva Von Der , Way2026-02-232026-02-232025-07-18http://hdl.handle.net/10400.5/117249Essa pesquisa qualitativa apresenta uma descrição da construção dos percursos profissionais por mulheres negras, nas áreas da Enfermagem e da Medicina, em unidades de saúde em Portugal e no Brasil, para ampliação do conhecimento sobre as condições de ingresso e de ascensão nos percursos profissionais considerando a influência da intersecção de gênero e de raça na percepção das profissionais que ingressaram na carreira nos últimos 30 anos. O estudo traz a oportunidade de conhecer o percurso profissional de mulheres negras integrantes nas duas principais carreiras no setor saúde e têm como objetivos proporcionar: (1) a chance de relatar como foram construídas as carreiras profissionais por estas mulheres negras, um estrato da sociedade pouco conhecido; (2) identificar os fatores catalisadores, de mobilidade ascendente e/ou os fatores limitadores, inibidores, e de imobilidade no ingresso e ascensão profissional; (3) investigar a ocorrência de episódios de racismo e sexismo na vida profissional. (4) registrar as estratégias por elas utilizadas para a superação das barreiras e obstáculos quanto as experiências que a intersecção ‘gênero e raça’ trouxeram as suas vidas profissionais. E ainda, essa pesquisa tem como resultados: a) contribuir para divulgação da importância que a perspectiva teórica interseccional aqui apresentada com o imbricamento das categorias ‘gênero e raça’, em suas diferentes vertentes, tem na sociedade atual atuando em prol do combate as múltiplas discriminações, da justiça social e racial global; (b) registrar o poder de agência que grupos sociais minorizados possuem na construção dos seus percursos profissionais e (c) preencher a lacuna da existência de poucas pesquisas dessa natureza em Portugal e no Brasil. O produto principal desta pesquisa é a elaboração da tese para obtenção do grau de doutoramento em Estudos de Gênero, na Universidade de Lisboa, em Portugal e a produção acadêmica para divulgação científica.This qualitative research aims to describe the construction of professional careers by black women in the fields of Nursing and Medicine, in health units in Portugal and Brazil, in order to expand knowledge about the conditions of admission and ascension in professional careers, considering the influence of the intersection of gender and race in the perception of professionals who have entered the career in the last 30 years. The study provides an opportunity to learn about the career paths of black women in the two main careers in the health sector and its objectives are to provide: (1) the opportunity to report on how these black women's careers were built, a little-known group of society; (2) to identify the catalyzing factors of upward mobility and/or the limiting, inhibiting and immobilizing factors in professional admission and ascension; (3) to investigate the occurrence of episodes of racism and sexism in their professional lives. (4) to record the strategies they used to overcome the barriers and obstacles that the intersection of gender and race brought to their professional lives. In addition, the results of this research are: (a) to contribute to the dissemination of the importance that the intersectional theoretical perspective presented here, with the intertwining of the categories 'gender and race', in its different aspects, has in today's society, working to combat multiple discrimination and global social and racial justice; (b) to record the power of agency that minoritized social groups have in the construction of their career paths and (c) to fill the gap of the existence of little research of this nature in Portugal and Brazil.
