Interior design has become even more important, as humanity has spent more and more time indoors and this has a direct impact on our well-being and health. A typical notion of being “locked” inside the house for a long period of time, such as mandatory accommodation due to the global pandemic, Covid-19, which we faced and where we once again understand the notion of how important interior spaces are for our well-being. In the past, homes were seen as a place to sleep, rest and have meals with the family. Nowadays, with changing attitudes and the evolution of society, we observe that the interior space is seen, for the most part, as a place of leisure and well-being and even a place of work for many. The rehabilitation of buildings will be, in the coming years, one of the main activities in architecture and interior and urban design. Excessive construction leads to the loss of the cities' identity values and their heritage, hence the need to recover and take advantage of the buildings already built and highlight their beauty and maintain it for many years, preserving the history and the identity values. The Algarve contains many historical and architectural values and throughout this work I will show how Algarve houses are defined, adding knowledge and inspiration for the final project. This project work has as its main objective the rehabilitation of an interior space of a typical Algarve house, located in São Brás de Alportel and whose function is to continue maintaining this same destination. Verifying that there is an intrinsic relationship between Man and space, it can be concluded that the two have a great interaction in interior design, where the ultimate objective is to develop an ideal space that corresponds to the user's needs.porDesign de interioresArquitectura - Algarve (Portugal)Arquitectura - desenhos e planosReabilitaçãoConstrução civilMateriais de construçãoTradiçãoEstudos de casoCasa Agostos (Almancil, Algarve)Casa da Açoteia (Vale do Lobo, Algarve)Casa Estalagem da Cegonha (Quinta do Lago, Almacil, Algarve)Movimento modernoAlgarve (Portugal)Habitação algarvia : tradição e contemporaneidade : projeto de reabilitação de uma casa algarviamaster thesis203561449
