Three questions were posed as basis for this study, in which we proposed an objective clarification through surveys and case studies. The questions that permeated this work were: "What are the advantages that Textile Design can mainly provide to Product Design?", “What are other ways to explore the fabrics and textile fibers in the Product Design?” and "To what degree Textile Design is understood by designers and creator from transversal Design areas?", the latter with greater focus om professionals and/or students of Product Design, specialization of this dissertation. Given the increasing exploitation observed in textile materials, it is of extreme importance to update the information that this sector presents for the development of projects, especially under the Design context. To meet the needs analyzed throughout this research it was developed a textile consultancy, which will aim to promote the benefits of Textile Design for different areas, and relate different companies with the users. It is estimated that this factor will help in the technical and functional construction of innovative projects, strengthening the growth of Textile Design and aggregating values, especially to Product DesignotherDesign textilInovaçãoDesign industrialIndústria têxtilTecidos - HistóriaO design têxtil aplicado no design de produtomaster thesis201280876
