Por ser uma modalidade educacional que rompe com o tradicional sistema de educação presencial e, portanto, permite que docentes e discentes estejam em espaços e tempos diferentes, demanda adaptações constantes e atitudes diferenciadas dos estudantes. Para apoiar os alunos em uma realidade de aprendizagem virtual, que oferece maior autonomia, mas que também requer mais responsabilidade e organização, há a figura do tutor, agente descrito como mediador do processo de aprendizagem de um aluno em Educação a Distância. Este trabalho procura analisar o impacto que a atuação do tutor virtual tem na aprendizagem dos alunos, bem como explorar a percepção que os alunos têm acerca da influência da atuação dos tutores sobre o processo de aprendizagem em disciplinas virtuais. O estudo, do tipo quantitativo, ocorreu a partir do levantamento de dados relacionados aos cursos e alunos de Educação a Distância da Universidade Federal do Ceará por meio do Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizagem próprio, o SOLAR 2.0. Focados em informações obtidas a partir da análise do banco de dados da plataforma de aprendizagem virtual e das percepções de alunos de e-learning, os resultados indicam que o tutor, apesar de não ter impacto diretamente no que o aluno aprende, tem influência no estímulo ao estudo e à busca pelo conhecimento, mostrando-se relevante para o desenvolvimento dos estudantes e para o processo de aprendizado em Educação a Distância.Distance Education has evolved following humanity's technological transformations and, especially since the popularization of the internet, it has grown and reached new audiences. Being an educational modality that breaks with the traditional classroom education system and, therefore, allows that teachers and students be in different spaces and times, demands constant adaptations and different attitudes from students. To support students in a virtual learning reality, which offers greater autonomy, but which also requires more responsibility and organization, there is the figure of the tutor, an agent described as mediator of students' learning process in Distance Education. This work seeks to analyze the impact that virtual tutor's role has on students' learning, as well as to explore the perception that students have about the influence of tutors' role on the learning process in virtual disciplines. The study, of the quantitative type, took place from the survey of data related to the Distance Education courses and students of the Federal University of Ceará through its own Learning Management Systems, SOLAR 2.0. Focused on information obtained from the analysis of virtual learning plataform's database and from e-learning students' perceptions, the results indicate that the tutor, despite of not having a direct impact on what the student learns, influences the stimulus to study and the search for knowledge, showing itself to be relevant for the development of students and to the learning process in Distance Education.porEducação à distânciaTutoresAmbientes virtuais de aprendizagemAprendizagemTeses de mestrado - 2021master thesis202970353
