According to this perspective, this work aims to understand the elaboration of a pictorial poetics, which has as its central focus reflections on childhood memories.The research intends to make visible and record what childhood memories will become, through education through art, a movement of art education that favors free expression.To support the analysis the work is based on a bibliographical research, approaching theoretical and artistic references that discuss the relationship between art and memory, highlighting works by authors such as: Herbert Read, Viktor Lowenfeld, Gaston Bachelard, Gilles Deleuze, Ivan Izquierdo , Ecléa Bosi, Wassily Kandinsky, among others. Such concepts converged with practice through the application of the “Sabiá” experience art project, carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic, with children from Portugal, Brazil and the Dominican Republic.
