The project, carried out in collaboration with the Centro Conservazione Biodiversità (CCB) at Cagliari University, is compliant with the general guidelines of the Habitats Directive and Natura 2000 Network, which are optimal tools for drafting environmental policies for preservation of biodiversity. For this reason, the main purpose of this dissertation is the application of reactivation and maintenance initiatives, in order to find solutions to preserve and protect the dunal systems of the SIC "ITB040020", while allowing the use of beaches and increasing environmental awareness towards local landscapes.
