Knowing the structure, according to which physical reality is organize, through active observation and a set of representative components, substantially expands the cognitive ability of the student and consequently its performance throughout the product development phase. In order to establish a specific methodology, this dissertation aims to detect intrinsic needs to product development, proposing a solution that goes through items such as visualization, communication and generation of new ideas. The methodological basis is prove primarily by the experience of a number of personalities, which holds the mastery of the drawing activity in the product development. Through its considerations, they participate directly or indirectly in the subject. Through its considerations, the personalities are involved directly or indirectly in the project. Given the variety of studies, considerations and examples of professionals who apply this kind of knowledge it is conclude that this approach may be central along the student’s education, serving as a complement to other classes. Since the representative components, present throughout the dissertation, are not disseminated in full, we have identified and educational opportunity to the inclusion of these new measures, with the intent of creating a workshop, a course or an elective courseporDesign industrialDesign de equipamentoDesenhoPercepção visualPedagogiaBauhausGestaltismoInovações tecnológicasRepresentação gráficaO papel do desenho no contexto do projeto de Design Industrial e de Equipamento : contributos para a prática pedagógicamaster thesis201818973
