Revisiting the artwork of Santiago Sierra and Steve McQueen in the anniversary of the 33 miners of Atacama. Abstract On the anniversary of the 33 miners of Atacama, the artworks ‘Person in a ditch measuring 300 × 500 × 300 cm’ by Santiago Sierra and ‘Western Deep’ by Steve McQueen were revisited. Both artworks pose situations in which the body is held or trapped in confined and asphyxiating spaces. The works document the violence of labor and power relationships, the commercialization of the body and the alignment of individuals to the economyspaSierra, Santiago, 1966-McQueen, Steve, 1969-Arte contemporâneaMineirosEnsaiosPersona sota terra : revisitant obres de Santiago Serra i de Steve McQueen en l’aniversari dels 33 miners d’Atacamajournal article
