We emphasize the work by the surrealist movement in Portugal in the development of contemporary collage, by the artists, Mário Cesariny, Fernando de Azevedo, António Areal, Marcelino Vespeira and from the 50s, in the international context, of the KWY Group. In the surrealism Portuguese movement, stands up the Cruzeiro Seixas's work in collage and some unpublished aspects of his work - his notebooks - are designated as scrapbooks, a vehicle for artistic expression beyond the field of drawing, adding literature and poetry.
