Aliadas às novas tendências do turismo, como a autenticidade e a periferização, a arte urbana e a indústria turística são facilitadoras da expansão turística para regiões menos propícias para a atividade, como os bairros municipais. Esta análise engloba um estudo de caso ao Bairro Padre Cruz, o qual situado na zona periférica de Lisboa, e que possui cerca de 100 registos de inscrições artísticas legais. Esta dissertação procura entender as motivações por detrás das instalações artísticas, bem como as mudanças ocorridas na região com a propagação da arte urbana e a vinda do turismo, sendo que bastantes das características deste estudo poderão ser transversais a outros territórios de características similares ou com a ocorrência de iniciativas artísticas do mesmo género.The present thesis aligns with the study of graffiti, street art and urban art and how they perform in marginalized communities. Connected to the new tourism trends, such as authenticity and peripheralization, urban art and the tourism industry are facilitators of the touristic expansion to places less prepared to the tourism activity, in this case, communitarian neighborhoods. This analysis comprises a case study of Bairro Padre Cruz, located in the periphery of Lisbon: a neighborhood that contains about one hundred registries of legal urban inscriptions. This study aims to understand what are the motivations behind the artistic installations and the changes are occurred in the region with the placement of urban art and the coming of tourism, being that many of the characteristics in this study can be transversal to places of similar characteristics or with the same type of artistic initiatives.pormaster thesis202806898
