Procura-se perceber como a arquitetura consegue provocar sensações, tanto na perceção como nas vivências do espaço, na vida do indivíduo com perturbações mentais. Através de elementos como a luz, a cor, os materiais e a sua a forma , pode-se afetar positivamente ou negativamente a experiência. Este trabalho procura sensibilizar na questão da responsabilidade do arquiteto, pois esta irá definir a vivência do ser humano num espaço. Neste trabalho é feito um projeto para um Centro Terapêutico e de Investigação de Saúde Mental. Daqui parte-se em busca de resgatar o equilíbrio emocional através de uma abordagem integradora do espaço frequentado pelos doentes com tais carências, contribuindo para o processo de cura dos indivíduos com doenças do foro psicológico.The rehabilitation of Fábrica Corticeira Robinson, in Portalegre, through the intervention of its urban space and part of its buildings, will attempt to respond the current needs of mental health in terms of clinical, individual, social and family support through interdisciplinary, and without removing the identity and memory of the place. Through elements such as light, color, materials and shape, the experience can be positively or negatively affected. This work seeks awareness on the issue of the architect’s responsibility, as this will define the experience of the human being in a space, In this work a project is made for a Therapeutic and Research Center for Mental Health.
