Determinada a contrariar esta teoria, a tese vai levantar novas problemáticas sobre a temporalidade na poesia de Cesário mediante a análise de alguns poemas. O estudo de tais problemáticas, além de acrescentar novos temas à discussão, vai ao mesmo tempo desconstruir o estereótipo do poeta e assim provar a inverosimilhança do realismo atribuído ao mesmo.This thesis begins with a reading of critical works about Cesário Verde, form which we encounter a wide acceptation of certain canonical notions about this poet, considering him as a realistic poet and evaluating his language as omnipotently descriptive of the present. Determined to contradict this theory, the thesis will rise new problems about the temporality in Cesário’s poetic by analising some of his poems.
