Concerning the stage of development, juvenile or mature, ectomycorrhizae and arbuscular mycorrhizae were found in both species, coexisting in different root branches of the same root system. Ectomycorrhizae are predominant in mature plants, while arbuscular mycorrhizae predominate in juvenile cuttings.
