Assim, com o presente trabalho deseja-se Reconstruir a Memória do Vale de Alcântara, sugerindo uma mudança no paradigma existente, simplificando e propondo novas vias viárias e pedonais a partir de um parque revitalizado e produtivo para a cidade de Lisboa. A renaturalização do vale passa por recuperar a sua ribeira encanada. Ao longo do caneiro, sugere-se a construção de campos agrícolas para fins produtivos para a capital portuguesa, bem como a criação de zonas pedonais e espaços de lazer. Através de bairros pré-existentes, o projeto propõe a colmatação dos mesmos fazendo uma “ponte” de ligação entre a cidade e o parque. A partir destes bairros pretende-se também criar centralidades, espaços onde as pessoas possam viver em comunidade. A Necessidade de uma Cidade com Vida passa por dar aos seus habitantes locais onde possam viver as ruas a pé, interagindo com as outras pessoas. Pretende-se devolver a estes bairros fragmentados a vida que há uns anos foi apagada.The currently infrastructured valley, a guinea pig of the worldwide modernist movements, impels us to critically reflect on the planning of the territory. Therefore, the goal of the present work is to Rebuild the Memory of the Alcântara Valley, by sugesting a change in the existing paradigm, and by simplifying and proposing new roads and pedestrian routes from a revitalized and productive park for the city of Lisbon. The renaturalization of the valley involves recovering its stream. Along the river it is suggested the construction of agricultural fields for productive purposes for the portuguese capital, as well as the creation of pedestrian zones and leisure spaces. Through pre-existing neighborhoods, the project proposes to fill them in by creating a “bridge” between the city and the park. From thid neighborhoods along the valley, it is also intended to create centralities, spaces where people can live in community. The Need for a City with Life is to give its local inhabitants sites where they can live the streets on foot, and interact with other people.
