Reconhecendo que a sua obra se pauta pela unidade e pelas recorrências temáticas e estilísticas, bem como pela valorização do inacabado e do trabalho de depuração da linguagem, procura-se estabelecer alguns nexos entre os volumes em análise e outros textos da autora. Estudam-se nomeadamente os processos retóricos e outros que, na poesia de Irene Lisboa, representam um sujeito auto-consciente e consciente da temporalidade que o sustenta. Procura-se demonstrar a relação entre tempo e memória, juntando-lhe as reflexões sobre a escrita, e, nesta, a aproximação à forma diarística e aos códigos da autobiografia, o uso do fragmento e a referência às tarefas diárias, repetitivas e banais, assim como a representação de um sujeito em diálogo e confronto consigo mesmo e com os outros, com a amizade e com o amor (ou com o desamor), com a vida e com a morte. Numa sociedade patriarcal, machista e misógina como a portuguesa à época do Estado Novo, a escrita de autoria feminina é secundarizada, sobretudo quando defronta e afronta as normas sociais e literárias, como o faz Irene Lisboa. Considerando que se trata da representação de um discurso produzido por um sujeito-mulher, propõe-se que este factor deva ser tido em conta ao observar a voz poética desta escritora.This dissertation focus on the relevant themes and guidelines detected in the two published volumes of poetry by Irene Lisboa, Um dia e outro dia… (1936) and Outono havias de vir (1937). By recognizing her work’s unity and recurrent style and subjects, as well as the high value of the unfinished work and the depuration of language, it is intended to establish links between these analyzed volumes and other texts by the author. The rhetorical and other processes in Irene Lisboa’s poetry will be analyzed as they represent a self-aware subject and the awareness of the temporality that bears it. It is also the goal of this dissertation to study the connection between time and memory, the value of reflections on writing, the journal form and autobiographical codes, the use of the fragment and the references to the repetitive and trivial daily chores. Also studied are representation of a subject in permanent dialogue and confrontation with itself and others, friendship and love (or the absence of love), life and death. In the patriarchal, male chauvinist, misogynist Portuguese society of the Estado Novo, female writing wasn’t even considered as serious writing, especially when challenging social and literary rules.
