Very often associated with climate change, disasters (floods, wildfires, hurricanes, droughts, etc.) occur in distinct local and national contexts but extend beyond political borders and regional territories, causing non-stationary, non-linear, multiplier (spreading across multiple dimensions of life), and long-lasting impacts in a globally interde- pendent system.
