Com a urbanização excessiva destes conjuntos, a contínua substituição do tecido antigo por novas formas de construção, e as mudanças de paradigma, ou de “palcos”, onde estas relações se estabelecem, alguns elementos arquitetónicos caiem no esquecimento, incapazes de se adaptar à constante transformação das novas cidades. O presente trabalho final de mestrado objetiva, deste modo, o estudo teórico-prático sobre a intervenção e reabilitação destes espaços de memória obsoletos ou em atual estado de ruína. Torna-se imprescindível encontrar soluções e estratégias que lutem contra a degradação do património arquitetónico, impedindo que estes edifícios atinjam, muitas das vezes, um estado de ruína irrecuperável, que a sua identidade seja perdida e a memória do lugar destruída. A Quinta da Alagoa, apesar da sua importância e contributo histórico na freguesia de Carcavelos, palco de uma das maiores e melhores produções do vinho da região, encontra-se atualmente num estado de degradação preocupante, agravada pela descontextualização da sua existência no ambiente que a envolve, o Parque da Quinta da Alagoa. Esta dissertação surge em defesa deste património edificado, da sua recuperação e reabilitação apoiada em estratégias que lhe devolvam a vida que foi arrancada à passagem do tempo.ABSTRACT: The city is a living organism of human relations that take place in time and space, with architecture being it’s main stage. With the excessive urbanization of these sets, the continual replacement of the old fabric with new forms of construction, and the paradigm changes, or “stages”, where these relations are established, some architectural elements are forgotten, unable to adapt to the continuous transformation of new cities. The present master’s work aims, in this way, the theoretical-practical study on the intervention and rehabilitation of these obsolete memory spaces or in current state of ruin. It is essencial to find solutions and strategies that fight against the degradation of the architectural heritage, preventing these buildings from reaching a state of irrecoverable ruin, that their identity is lost and the memory of the place destroyed. Quinta da Alagoa, despite it’s importance and historical contribution in the parish of Carcavelos, as one of the largest and best wine productions in the region, it’s currently in a state of worrying degradation, aggravated by the decontextualization of it’s existence in the environment that involves it, the Quinta da Alagoa Park.
