The intention is to evaluate what the graphic and creative possibilities of the book are when it is linked to the designer’s own identity, in a more expressive and personal approach (emphasizing David Carson’s work as a promoter of this experimental philosophy), as opposed to a minimalist and functionalist approach, devoid of any element connected to the designer’s identity. It is also intended to evaluate the effects that each approach can have on the reader, in their observation and interpretation of the content. Thus demonstrating that the designer, as the main constructor of meaning, and regardless of what his approach might be, can have and has influence on the interaction created between the reader and the book.porDesign editorialLeituraLivroExperimentalismoFuncionalismoRacionalismoEra post-digitalEstudos de casoO designer entre o funcionalismo e experimentalismo : uma abordagem experimental do design do livro no processo de leituramaster thesis203047621
