A nível temático, o relatório centra-se na reflexão de questões de tradução jurídica, tradução técnica e tradução especializada. O primeiro capítulo consiste na apresentação da entidade de acolhimento, debruçando-se também sobre a caracterização das várias etapas do fluxo de trabalho de uma empresa de tradução e na descrição das tarefas realizadas em estágio. Adicionalmente, é efetuada uma categorização dos subdomínios dos documentos traduzidos e revistos em estágio. O segundo capítulo parte de um enquadramento teórico, com enfoque na posição da tradução técnica nos estudos de tradução e no perfil de um tradutor técnico. Ademais, aborda várias questões gerais relacionadas com a tradução jurídica e tradução na área de engenharia civil e mecânica, das finanças, da saúde e da informática, seguidas da análise de casos práticos trabalhados em estágio. A nível da tradução jurídica, são discutidos vários temas como a caracterização dos subdomínios do Direito Civil e do Direito Consuetudinário, a classificação dos diferentes tipos de texto jurídico, observações sobre questões de natureza terminológica e gramatical e considerações sobre a ausência da figura do tradutor ajuramentado em Portugal. O terceiro capítulo apresenta uma breve reflexão acerca do papel das ferramentas de tradução assistida por computador, recorrendo a exemplos práticos trabalhados durante o estágio.This report aims to describe and analyse the curricular internship served at Eurologos-Lisboa / Certas Palavras, Lda. as part of the Master’s Programme in Translation of the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon. Thematically, the report focuses on legal, technical, and specialised translation issues. The first chapter presents the host institution and describes the workflow steps of a translation company, as well as the tasks carried out during the internship. Additionally, it categorizes the different areas of the documents that were translated and revised during the internship. The second chapter starts with a theorical framework, focusing on the position of technical translation within translation studies and the profile of a technical translator. Additionally, it also addresses different general issues regarding translation in law, civil and mechanical engineering, finances, health, and information technology, followed by a grammatical analysis of selected case studies observed during the internship. Several themes regarding legal translation were discussed, such as the characterisation of civil law and common law, the classification of different types of legal documents, analysis of some issues related to terminology and grammar, and remarks on the inexistence of sworn translators in Portugal. The third chapter presents a brief reflection on the role of CAT tools, again using practical examples observed during the internship.pormaster thesis203283570
