Dating simulator : o salvamento visual da abstração narrativa

Abstract

This Project for the Masters in Drawing explores the dynamics between narrative content and visual aesthetics in dating simulators. To support this thesis, a prototype of a dating simulator was created, in a visual novel format with a deliberately broken narrative. The following presentation is subdivided into three distinct sections: The first addresses the theory related to the topic, exploring the types of dating simulators available on the market and analyzing their visual components; the second details the methodology regarding the practical element, explaining its step-by-step development; and the third analyzes the results and conclusions obtained from participant feedback. This research aims to ascertain whether players are more inclined towards aesthetic appeal than towards the complexities of the story.
