Resumo: Through the production of doodles it is possible to activate and intensify the creative flow, which can be used in diferente contexts, including to improve the individual's daily activities, on a personal or professional level. Our eresearch sought to demonstrate tje primordial relationship between human beings and drawing, in additiontothe importance of this resource, as a scribble, which can be developed by anyone to facilitate de communication of ideas. Therefore, it aimed to identify and catalog the graphic forms presente in spontaneous scribbles produced by adults. From a comprehensive sampling, of a specifc type of doodle (spontaneous doodle), the main invariants, that is, the most recurrent forms, were isolated. To this end, our research collaborators (adults mostly lacking knowledge of techniques for creating drawings) were invited to catalog their scribbles in a predefined format, in a sequential and identical manner for everyone. This procedure allowed not only a large sample, but also a comparison of the forms produced by the same individual. Based on the collection of spontaneous scribbles, this investigation fulfilled the objective of identifying the most recurrent forms and, speciafically, comapringthem with prehistoric records presente in two catalogues, one published by anthropologists Lewis-Williams and Dowson and the other by paleonanthropologist Petzinger, to find out whether any of those forms is still scribbled today. Thus, a catalog of graphic forms was organized qith 14 forms that we considered to be ancestral as they are also present in rock catalogues, and with 15 contemporary forms, which presented innovative forms in relationto those marked in the caves by our ancestors. Our catalog is intended to serve as a source of references for artists and creatives. In addition to the catalogue, the cartography organized by this research resulted in a series of drawings to study the cataloged graphic forms and the relationships between them
