| Resumo: | Envisat could represent a new tool for annual monitoring of Portuguese forest changes. In this context, the SatStat project main objective is the development of image processing methodologies for Envisat-MERIS data in order to quantify the annual change of forest areas. This evaluation will be used to assess the impact of forest area increase and decrease on the carbon cycle. |
