Abstract

O olhar sobre a cidade, a imagem e os pensamentos que surgiram para um futuro, um futuro que se imagina, um futuro idealizado.

O presente trabalho dedica-se a uma visão utópica para a cidade. Uma reflexão sobre a cidade, sobre a falta de articulação entre núcleos, sobre a barreira criada pela linha de caminho de ferro e, a relação entre a cidade, a água e o rio.

Esta frente de rio que perdeu a sua identidade.

Procura-se abordar este mundo imaginário, de modo a criar um novo lugar, um novo futuro. Onde esta arquitetura sonhada, possa valorizar a identidade que se perdeu há tempos na cidade baixa de Santarém. Onde a água volte a encontrar a cidade, onde a cidade volte a sentir o rio.

Um projeto que nasce de um problema atual... O vazio que se quer cheio. O negativo que se quer positivo.

Uma frente cheia de espaços de oportunidade, cheia de vazios. Um vazio da linha de caminho de ferro que se quer preenchido. Uma solução que se prolonga há anos.

Este sonho que resulta numa tentativa de solução, a Megaestrutura.

Tendo como premissa inicial a problemática da água na cidade, surge então ...a possível solução utópica.

ABSTRACT : The look on the city and the thoughts that emerge for an idealized future.

The present work surrenders to a utopic vision for the city. The reflection upon the city and the lack of articulation between nuclei, as well as the barrier created by the railway line and the relationship between the city, the water and the river.

This river front that has lost its identity.

We seek to develop a reflection of this imaginary world, in order to create a new place, a new future. Where the imagined architecture tries to value the identity that was lost some time ago in the lower city of Santarém. Where the water meets the city, where the city feels the river.

A project born from a current problem... The void that you want to fill. The negative that one wants to be positive.

A front full of spaces of opportunity, full of emptiness. A void in the railway line that one wants to fill. A solution that has been going on for years.

This vision that results in an attempt at a solution, the Megastructure.

Having as initial premise the problem of water in the city, it appears then, ...the possible utopic solution.
