Reabilitação do antigo Presídio da Trafaria em estância para o bem-estar

Abstract

Este trabalho tem como objetivo a reabilitação do antigo Presídio da Trafaria, através da criação de um espaço dedicado a doentes oncológicos deslocados de outras zonas do país e através da criação de novas funções naquele conjunto edificado, vindo assim a criar novos postos de trabalho e a colmatar falhas que existem nesta vila. O antigo Presídio foi outrora o núcleo que permitiu o desenvolvimento da vila da Trafaria e pretende-se que este volte a ajudar nesse sentido, com um programa útil para o lugar e para a sua população. Atualmente, tanto a Trafaria como o Presídio, encontram-se esquecidos e praticamente ao abandono. O esquecimento desta vila vai muito para além do estado de degradação do Presídio e de muitos edifícios, sente-se especialmente no desprezo pela herança cultural deste local, herança essa que se está a diluir ao longo da história. A outra vertente do trabalho prende-se com a construção de um local em que os doentes oncológicos deslocados podem permanecer. Este tipo de locais não existe na cidade de Lisboa nem arredores sendo urgente assegurar que estas pessoas, que já se encontram fragilizadas, tenham um local a que possam chamar de lar enquanto estão longe do seu. É também importante referir que através do programa do projeto, estes utentes terão a oportunidade de levar uma vida que não esteja centrada na doença e que tenham a sua independência no dia a dia.

This work aims to rehabilitate the former Prison of Trafaria, through the creation of a space dedicated to cancer patients displaced from other areas of the country and through the creation of new functions in that built-up complex, thus creating new jobs and bridge gaps that exist in this village. The former Prison was once the nucleus that allowed the development of the town of Trafaria and it is intended that it will help again in this regard, with a useful program for the place and its population. Currently, both the Trafaria and the Prison are forgotten and practically abandoned. The forgetfulness of this town goes far beyond the state of degradation of the prison and of many buildings, especially in the disdain for the cultural heritage of this place, a heritage that has been diluted throughout history. The other aspect of the work is related to the construction of a place where displaced cancer patients can stay. This type of place does not exist in the city of Lisbon or its surroundings making it urgent to ensure that these people, who are already fragile, have a place they can call home while they are away from their own. It is also important to note that through the project's program, these users will have the opportunity to lead a life that is not centered on the disease and that they have their independence in their daily lives.
