Resumo: Objects assert things, or rather, we can understand things in objects and, as such, make assertions through them. In theatre, we can call this aspect of the world scenography. The thesis presented here delves deeper into the observation of scenic events starring objects and thus asks how the materiality of things can be explored within the narrative devices of theatre. The aim is to approach scenography as a manifestation of materiality, as opposed to scenography as representation. In this sense, these observations are expanded to the idea of a theatre based on objects and their materiality. This research takes scenography as a dramaturgical force and agent of the theatrical event — a dramaturgy of materials and scenographic technologies in a theatre of objects and their relationships. Through a theoretical-practical format, it embodies a process that develops and analyses the positioning of the gesture of scenic creation in the context of the Estúdio Bauprobe. The theoretical object discusses a position towards the scenographic and theatrical event as a material advent and, in turn, the practical object carries out a poetic exploration of the concreteness of materials in a theatre-film format — the short film Bauprobe.
