Presença feminina operária no movimento operário da Primeira República (1917-1920)

Abstract

A pesquisa desta dissertação é direcionada ao microcosmo das mulheres operárias na onda de greves gerais no Brasil durante a era 1917-1920, a fim de compreender a presença das mulheres da classe operária nesse período e como as mulheres brasileiras mudaram drasticamente na primeira parte do século XX, por meio da lente da reflexão sobre a entrada das mulheres no mercado de trabalho industrial e sua participação no movimento trabalhista em um período específico entre o final do século XIX e o e o início do século XX.

The research in this dissertation is directed at the microcosm of women workers in the wave of general strikes in Brazil during the 1917-1920 era, in order to understand the presence of working class women in this period and how Brazilian women changed drastically in the first part of the 20th century, through the lens of reflection on women's entry into the industrial labour market and their participation in the labour movement in a specific period between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
