A arte popular no espólio bibliográfico do escultor Lagoa Henriques (1923-2009)

Abstract

The bibliographic collection of the sculptor Lagoa Henriques (1923-2009), donated to the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, in process of inventorying and treatment, is characterized by the multiplicity of subjects, not only about art but also in the domains of literature, travels, gastronomy, and others. In this article, stands out the presence of the popular art of the bibliographic collection of the artist, that counts with a strong presence of popular art and poetry from Portugal. It’s intended to deepen this theme in the artist’s life and identify the importance of the popular art in his work.
