Considera-se que o estudo da importância da Educação Ambiental na
Consciencialização Ambiental europeia é deveras pertinente devido às diferentes questões
que se colocam nos nossos dias, em especial a partir do início deste novo milénio, no que
ao meio ambiente diz respeito, e que requerem que os cidadãos estejam mais informados
e conscientes do que os rodeia e da importância da conservação dos seres vivos e,
consequentemente, dos ecossistemas aos quais pertencem. Essa informação pode ser
transmitida recorrendo a momentos de educação para diferentes públicos-alvo em locais
naturais ou humanizados, num contexto turístico ou não turístico.
Através de uma revisão sistemática de artigos pretendeu-se averiguar se cinco
ações no âmbito da Educação Ambiental (Visita recreativa, Experiência de EA, Formação,
Sociocultural e Projeto educacional) em diferentes países europeus têm um impacto
positivo no ganho da Consciencialização Ambiental por parte dos indivíduos que nelas
participam.
Os resultados obtidos mostram que ações de Educação Ambiental favorecem
positivamente a Consciencialização Ambiental, viabilizando a sua aplicação em contexto
formal e não formal. De realçar que o número de estudos realizados sobre esta temática
tem vindo a aumentar, situação que pode estar relacionada com a legislação dos locais em
causa. Não obstante, há um longo caminho a percorrer, pois há ainda países que não
possuem qualquer estudo subordinado ao tema.
It’s considered that the It is considered that the study of the importance of Environmental Education in European Environmental Awareness is very relevant due to the different issues that arise in our days, especially from the beginning of this new millennium, with regard to the environment, and that require citizens to be more informed and aware of their surroundings and the importance of conserving living beings and, consequently, the ecosystems to which they belong. This information can be transmitted using educational moments for different target audiences in natural or humanized places, in a tourist or nontourist context. Through a systematic review of articles, it was intended to investigate whether five actions in the scope of Environmental Education (Recreational Visit, Environmental Education Experience, Training, Sociocultural and Educational Project) in different European countries have a positive impact on the gain of Environmental Awareness by the individuals who participate in them. The results show that Environmental Education actions positively favor Environmental Awareness, enabling its application in formal and non-formal contexts. It should be noted that the number of studies carried out on this subject has been increasing, a situation that may be related to the legislation of the places in question. However, there is a long way to go, as there are still countries that do not have any study on the subject.
