Resumo(s)
This article aims to analyse the play “The Perverse Trilogy”, written by the Brazilian playwright Ivo Bender, thinking about the concept of tragic in his text and the perspective of theatre as a document. The play has a strong inspiration in structural models of Attic tragedy and it’s set in historical events that happened in southern Brazil between 1826 and 1941. We will consider the fusion of these elements as vectors of narrative construction of a play that points true situations of history, while highlighting its tragic aspects
